№ 01 THE LONG STORY · 2009 → NOW

I build things loudly — and
I have since 2012.

Fourteen years, six brands, a fixer-upper that started it all. Here's the actual story — the parts that landed me on stages, the parts that almost broke me, and the part that keeps me building.

№ 02THE ORIGIN
Morgan + Jamie — early construction2style days
est. 2012 · construction2style

A fixer-upper, two kids in tow, and a husband who said yes.

It started in 2009 — Jamie and me, a 1920s Minneapolis house that needed everything, and the naive belief that if we wrote about it, somebody might read. We were wrong about a lot. We were right about that.

Fourteen years later, construction2style is a working design-build studio, a content brand that's been on the cover of KBB, and the launching pad for everything else I've built since: the conference (CCS), the community (BuildHer), the agency (Neon Lion Media), and the personal brand you're reading right now.

I'm not the polished version. I'm the loud one. The one who'll tell you what it actually cost, what we got wrong, and why it still worked.
